Sharrows make and appearance in Clintonville

Just under 200 sharrows will be added to High Street as part of the 10 million dollar commitment the City of Columbus has allotted to cycling projects in 2010. I spotted one of the first of these markings in Clintonville this morning. This photo was taken at Weber and High.

The markings continued north to Hudson.

Doo Dah Float and FUNraiser

Do you want to be in a parade? Do you like to ride your bike? Join us for the Doo Dah Parade. We will be riding the fantastic frankenSTEIN bike with a keg of Elevator beer strapped in the center.

Be a part of our float by wearing a costume, or dress up your bike for the Fourth. We don’t care what you do, as long as you show up on your bike and join us. IF you decide to wear a costume, we will be judging them after the parade and the winner will get a gift card from Paradise Garage.

Then, after the parade follow us (and the keg) through downtown to Hal and Al’s bar to tap the keg. For each beer purchased from the keg Hal and Al’s Bar will donate to Yay Bikes.

Date: Sunday, July 4, 2010
Time: 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Location: Goodale Park
Street: Park and Buttles
City/Town: Columbus, OH
RSVP Here. It will be a really fun event- if you’ve never participated in Doo Dah and only watched… now is your chance. It’s a blast!
