Hi Cole! Thanks for the props! I'm not sure re: surveying HWR participants...I wonder if it might not violate some kind of implicit agreement re: future contact if I reached out at this point. But if we do this again in spring it would make sense to get explicit permission re: follow up. Actually there is a public health grad student working on a practicum in the area of bicycle safety and I bet we could get her to help craft a plan for this.

One of our board members the other day said "we ride bikes, we don't sit at tables". I think that's brilliant!! All our education should be on the bike, in my opinion (even though we do offer other options).

Meredith,

Nice post! Also regarding research, I wonder if Yay Bikes! has the ability to survey any of the How We Roll participants down the road. This summer, maybe? It might not be statistical significant or ready for a peer-review journal, but it would give you some initial food for thought.

Overall, I really like the idea of Yay Bike!'s monthly rides/Ray's Tuesday night rides being combined with How We Roll like outreach. For me, if I didn't use what I learned in class, I forgot it. I would assume it'd be similar with bicycle education as well.

We are aware of some issues with scrolling on the forums in Internet Explorer, as well as other little issues here & there. We are working to fix them and appreciate your patience! Please be in touch if you notice problems!

Also, re: board positions. We probably won't bring on anyone else in 2012, but be in touch anyway because there are plenty of committee positions and other opportunities to demonstrate leadership and get to know us better.

Peace out.

The forums are back. They are tucked under the "Community" menu item. I'm sure there are bugs to fix... but they are back. Thanks!

Sorry to see the forums go. Was a regular reader, thought there was some good information in them. Look forward to their being brought back.
