Seriously. What a madly talented team. It is our good fortune to be working with them and it is a relationship that I certainly want to strive to reward for them.

Would be remiss not to mention the designers of the sponsorship package (and forthcoming B2WC materials): Fulcrum Creatives! Visit their site at http://fulcrumcreatives.com to learn more about this amazing design group. Seriously great people.

I'll have to look at things if there are issues posting in the forums. I see that you've (ScottNorthSide) made posts in other forums recently. If I recall correctly, I turned off email replies for the "How was your commute today" post since when a new reply is made there is an email sent to previous posters- this was taking quite a long time on that thread. Perhaps I didn't put that back in place, though I don't remember undoing it.

You have a couple of options for finding forum topics. You can go here http://yaybikes.com/forums/ and search 'winter' in the search box- from there you will get a list of topics with the word winter- but you can also see the group forum items are posted in. For example "All Weather Cycling" is a good bet from those search results.

Alternatively you can go here: http://yaybikes.com/groups/ and search on, say, "weather" and find the all weather cycling forum as well.

I'm not sure there is a "Winter clothing" forum exactly- but "All Weather Cycling" is a reasonable match for those topics. If you think a forum strictly for winter clothing is in order you can go to that same group page: http://yaybikes.com/groups/ and click the 'Create a Group' and make a new one.

I have on my list to make a more "standard" view of the forums- one like people are typically used to seeing on a bulletin board. I think it is an hour or two worth of work with testing. Unfortunately I have bout 2 months of solid work on that same list. I will try to get to doing that as soon as I can- it isn't from a lack of desire or want to make things as easy and direct as possible. I just have a bunch of projects I am working on- some of them earn money for food and shelter :).

Yea, but Andrew, you've really stepped out in the front and have really expressed what many felt they wanted Yay Bikes! to be and do. You have no idea how people look up to the organization since you've taken the steps to listen to the West side. They are impressed. "Our" reputations as bikers are really improving and you've set us apart from CB. As much as I hate to say it, that is important. I wish it didn't have to be, but that's life. Thanks for doing all you do.

How do you get to the "contents page" for all of the forums ? What if someone wanted to go to the "Winter clothing" forum. How do you do that ? I made a post in the "How was your commute today ?" and it didn't register.

THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! you rock, Mike Reed.

I have a few suggestions for improvement, and I encourage others with suggestions to post them here.

1 - Is there another way to say "Bikes on Twitter Nearby"? I know what you mean but I'm not sure anyone else will.

2 - I think it's unclear the difference between "Recent Forum Topics", "Recently Written", and "Recent Comments". I know that the former two refer to the main Yay Bikes! blog, but I don't know that it's obvious to others.

3 - The "All Contributors" link is broken. Also, could we put a link for if people want to know how they can become a Contributor?

4 - Could we put "Ways to Support Yay Bikes!" prominently in the right sidebar?

5 - Can the blog posts have tags?

6 - Could we do a different font for the body copy? I like this font for headlines but hate it for subheaders and bodies of text. I'm more a fan of Verdana or something similar.

7 - What is "Best Of" and who decides it?

8 - There is no rich text editor when you first post a comment. And no way to add attachments. Is this b/c I'm logged in via Facebook?

9 - When is "More" used to shorten blog posts? Some long posts have it and others don't, but it should be standardized.

And that is what I've got right now! Again, great job Mike! Progress!

Meredith -
I can't attend the women's forum on 2/28 because we are having a Columbus Music Co-op compilation cd release event at the North market the same date/time (1-5pm). If you could send a questionnaire out, I'd be happy to answer some questions on the highlighted topics.

thanks, Jess
