A life-long cyclist who enjoys all types of bicycling, Tricia loves connecting with the natural world and the people she encounters on her journeys, and especially exploring roads less traveled with young people. Tricia is the Coordinator of Gahanna’s Bicycle Advisory Committee and a bicycle educator on the Safe Routes to School team at Gahanna-Jefferson School District. She serves as a board member for the Ohio Bicycle Federation, which advocates for bicyclists’ rights and better bicycle legislation in Ohio, and as a member of the Columbus Transportation & Pedestrian Commission Bicycle Subcommittee, which advises the City of Columbus on implementation of the Bicentennial Bikeway Plan. She is also active in the Columbus Advisory Committee on Disability Issues and co-organizes ‘Just Another Bike Ride’ with the American Council of the Blind Ohio to encourage people with disabilities to ride bicycles. Tricia is a League Cycling Instructor with the League of American Bicyclists and a Boy Scout merit badge counselor, and she volunteers regularly with Neighborhood Pride bicycle safety festivals. She has long been member of CRES cycling club and Columbus Outdoor Pursuits, co-leading their annual Woodstock Century Tour with her husband, David.
Yay Bikes! is a 501c3 grassroots member organization that promotes bicycling for transportation in Central Ohio. Our vision is that people here ride bicycles for as many trips as possible.
