Franklinton CycleWorks is a non-profit bike shop and community center. In addition to bike and part sales, FCW offers a large co-working space well equipped with professional grade stands and tools. With numerous classes, events, volunteer opportunities and scholarships FCW has something for everyone.
Bike School classes are scheduled to begin the first Wednesday evening in May and will take place every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Bike School classes provide instruction and hands on learning on topics like fixing a flat, shifter adjustment, and wheel truing.
The first Community Ride of the year is scheduled for Thursday April 15th at 6:30pm. Community Rides will be hosted every third Thursday of the month after that. Community Rides are rolling classes that build rider confidence by getting them out on the roads and teaching participants how to stay safe.
FCW is in the process of expanding and renovating the shop. We expect construction to be done by mid-May. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with the latest developments.
FCW was recently selected as a finalist for Philanthropitch! The voting period begins May 10th and we'd be honored to receive your support.
FCW needs volunteers! Specifically, we need your help in fixing up bikes and teaching others how to ride confidently on the roads. If you like working on bikes, or would like to learn, please visit the shop any Tuesday evening at 6:30pm for an orientation. And if you're a pro bike commuter and would like to share your knowledge, please contact Jonathan at info@franklintoncycleworks.org
