Yay Bikes! rescheduled their first Community Bike Ride of the year starting in the Hilltop at Westgate Park. This is a great opportunity if you are curious about getting out on a bike but aren't sure where to start. We’re planning a casual 12-mile ride connecting the Hilltop and Franklinton communities. NEW BIKE RIDERS WELCOME!
Highlights along the route include: Westgate Park, Franklinton Farms, Franklinton Cycle Works, Highland Youth Garden, Mid-Ohio Farm, Art Murals from Hilltop Arts Collective, Clay Street Ceramics, Best Side Design Event Space, and others…
We’ll end with a stop at Third Way Coffee House where A.J’s Tacos will be on site! From Third Way, it's just a short ride back to our start location.
The ride is free, but you need to register for planning and safety purposes. A Ride with GPS route link will be emailed to everyone registered by noon on Friday, March 29th.
There will be ride ambassadors who will make sure you don't get lost or left behind. All types of bikes are welcome! Just make sure your bike is in good working order and be sure to wear a helmet!
Would you prefer to ride a CoGo bike? No problem, just let us know when you register and we will have one available for you for free!
Riders should wear comfortable clothing, bring water, apply sunscreen and bring front and rear lights, if you have them.
